“Our mission is to produce world-class wines, authentically Chilean, with the character that expresses the unique taste of the Maipo Valley”

Carlos Cousiño Valdés

An exciting family tradition that has remained strong since it was founded in 1856 and the unique hallmark of its wines, define this iconic vineyard in the Maipo Valley. We can proudly say that we are the only Chilean winery  established during the 19th century that still belongs entirely to the founding family, a characteristic that has marked the identity of our company and the personality of our wines. At Cousiño Macul we are convinced of the importance of preserving the traditions that have forged our history, but always with an innovative spirit to adapt to the new demands of the industry. Along this path, the incorporation of lines such as Finis Terrae and Dama de Plata, and the acquisition of the Paine estate, have been some of the milestones that have marked the opening and reinvention of our production. Today the company is in the hands of the sixth generation of the Cousiño family, while the seventh is already working in the family business; a proof of the true passion for wine that unites us and that guarantees that in each generational change, the tradition and quality of wine that characterize us, remain intact.

Oenological Team

At Cousiño Macul we all live and breathe wine, that is why as a company we have worked hard to be leaders in the wine industry and in oenological knowledge, offering unique products that combine tradition, character, and excellence. To meet this challenge, the committed and rigorous work of our team has been the key. This team is formed by advisors, specialists, and a tasting panel with family members, who make sure that the historic hallmark of our winery is well preserved.

Winemaker: Rosario Palma Corrales

“We seek that our wines express the character of the Maipo Valley and the characteristics of each variety. To achieve this, we intervene just the necessary in the vineyard and in the winery. This, added to the team’s expertise, makes our wines a true emblem”.
