In its 2005 vintage, our ultra premium showcases an elegant appearance and a new content, remaining even closer to Lota.
As we know our consumers are really exigent and look for better qualities and styles, Cousiño-Macul decided to upgrade the Finis Terrae by presenting in its 2005 vintage a new and even better wine.
Finis Terrae 2005 is the brilliant result of the blending of the best Cabernet Sauvignon (60%) and Merlot (40%) from the most protected and cared areas of the Buin and Macul estates, the same where Lota comes from.
Dark purple in colour, showcases multiples aromas of black cherries, blackberries, violets, sage, anis and vanilla. In the mouth, ripen plums, blueberries, mocha and sage flavours are perfectly balanced and conform a medium body wine, where velvet tannins create a great harmony sensation in the palate. Finis Terrae 2005 has a silky end, with subtle hints of vanilla and species. It is idea to accompany wild duck, goose, partridge, hare, shank of beef, brisket casserole, coq au vin or roasted rib of beef. It can be enjoyed now, but will deliver more in 10 to 15 more years.
A change that shows off
Even though the upgrade in the content of the Finis Terrae 2005 should talk for himself, Cousiño-Macul also wanted to point it out with a new dark red cap and a larger label.
During the last days of March, the specialized national press was invited to ascertain these new attributes and the response was the total confirmation and support to the renewed ultra premium of Cousiño-Macul.
