The intensity, elegance and complexity of Don Matías Reserva 2006 were applauded in the fourth version of the International Wine Fair, Expovino Wong, a very important event that congregates wineries from all over the world in Perú.
A Gold Medal was given to our Don Matías Reserva 2006, the wine named after the founder of the Cousiño-Macul vineyard and which was upgraded to a new level of quality on its 2005 vintage. It’s renewed image and enological style already achieved a solid positioning in Chile and it seems its success was expanded to other countries.
Rosario Palma, who represented Cousiño-Macul in Perú, assured “it was an excellent opportunity to show our wines. We are very happy because we received very good comments about Cousiño-Macul and also two of our wines won medals”, commented the enologist. Our other winner was Don Luis Merlot 2006, with a Silver Medal.
The meeting gathered near 50 thousand visitors, 35 pisco brands and more than 90 wineries and enologists from all over the world.
