On march, Cousiño Macul applied to obtain the BRC Global Standard, an international quality certificate. After the assessment, the certifying organization graded us with the best qualification.

Cousiño Macul’s compromise with quality has been persistent through it’s 150 years. We are constantly trying to improve and make sure our consumers and distributors have the confidence our wines are produced under the most strict national and international parameters.

“Each procedure takes care of all the necessary conditions to elaborate an innocuous product and, at the same time, to assure our clients satisfaction”, explains Matías Ovalle, Finance and Administration Manager.

Matías Rivera, chief winemaker, also states “Cousiño Macul is continuously promoting an environmental awareness in their workers; specially including the rational use of natural resources, a responsible waste management and every matter that can cause a natural impact”.

In conjunction with this posture, during the last days of march, the Bureau Veritas Certification assessed Cousiño Macul to verify its accordance with the BRC 04 Version protocol (British Retail Consortium). After the process, we were evaluated with an A, which means the complete observance of all the requirements.

ISO 14001 Renewal (Download)
Also, since 2003, Cousiño Macul renewals every year the ISO 14001 certification. It’s purpose is to watch over the legal fulfillment of the Environmental Rules, including pollution control and any procedure that can damage the atmosphere.
