At a lunch attended by VIP representatives of the industry, suppliers, journalists and friends, Cousiño-Macul celebrated the 150th anniversary of the company at their new winery in Buin.
We are the generation making major changes,” were the words of Arturo Cousiño, president of Cousiño-Macul to the attendees. “Though we are moving our focus to the new winery in Buin; the winery and vineyards of Macul in Santiago will continue to play an important role, since it is the historic site of the first 150 years of the company.
” With a total surface of 330 hectares, including 275 hectares planted to vineyards, the new estate of Buin produces both red and white varieties that assure the winery will continue to produce high quality wines.
