Viña Cousiño-Macul obtained silver medal in the Catad’Or W Santiago Wine Awards 2012
Viña Cousiño-Macul participated in the Catad’Or W Santiago Wine Awards 2012 and obtained silver medal with Antiguas Reservas Cabernet Sauvignon 2010. The blind tasting sessions took place on the past 7, 8 and 9th. of July in a lounge of Hotel W specially conditioned for the jury. With a tradition of 17 years, this contest has helped to spread out the excellence of the Chilean wine around the world, through its seal that guides and supports the quality of our winemaking industry. “We are proud to receive a medal for our emblem wine Antiguas Reservas Cabernet Sauvignon. For us, the consistency in the quality of our wines is one of the great objectives to which we aim. And the results we have reached along the years, show that it has been so” concluded Matías Ovalle, General Manager of the Vineyard Antiguas Reservas is the vineyard’s emblem wine, with over 80 years in its portfolio. It has always been a limited selection of the best Cabernet Sauvignon from Cousiño Macu’s vineyards. Throughout the years it has maintained its classic style, combining the maturity of the New World, the elegance of the traditional and a structure that allows an adequate storage capacity.
