Viña Cousiño Macul gana medalla de oro en el concurso internacional de vinos más importante de Japón

Our Merlot 2012 won the gold medal in the  “Sakura Japon Women´s Wines Award 2105”, the most important wine contest of the asian country. This is a high level wine competition uniquely judged by women. The juries included sommeliers, wine school instructors, women working at importing and retailing companies, wine journalists, winemakers. In Japan, women play the lead in wine selection, 46% of the sommeliers in Japon and 62% of the wine experts are women. The high evaluation and expectation toward “Sakura Awards” were represented by the number of wine entries. At this time, a total of 2,904 entries were made from 29 countries around the world. The Merlot  2012 is a wine without wood , fruity and balanced , that leaves a fresh and delicate feel which highlights its fruitiness . It is a versatile wine that blends perfectly with dishes of medium intensity as fishes like seabass. At the same time it fits very well with goat cheese and its perfect as an aperitif .
